The S-B-A (school bridging program) enables youngsters and young adults to expand their skills necessary for successful entry into the workforce or an general education school.

The support:
The young people at bridging programs of canton Zug are supported by qualified specialists. The learning layout and learning spaces correspond to the same learning philosophy at all bridge courses.
Who is S-B-A for?
The S-B-A (10th voluntary school year) of canton Zug is aimed at young people:
• to prepare them for a successful entry into vocational training or further schooling.
• who are motivated to attend school 5 days a week.
• who have completed lower secondary school.
• who have discontinued an apprenticeship or school (e.g., Gymnasium).
• who have moved from another canton.
Requirements
Admission requirements: The prerequisites for entry into the S-B-A are:
- Completion of compulsory schooling
- Willingness to perform
- German language proficiency at B1 level ESP
- BYOD (Bring your own device)

Practical training (internship)
SBA: There is a two-week social internship.
The learners work in nursing, in daycare centers (KITA), on a farm, or in a social institution. The social internship takes place one week before and one week during the autumn holidays. Participation is obligatory. During these two weeks, no trial apprenticeships can be carried out.
IMPORTANT: The bridging programs do not provide internship placements. Finding an internship is part of the learner’s responsibilities. Of course, they will be supported throughout this process.

Costs
Personal contribution for teaching materials, consumables, photocopies, excursions, sports days, cultural events and project weeks:
CHF 1,100.00 Annual fee
(Invoicing: 1st semester CHF 550.00 / 2nd semester CHF 550.00)
Students are only accepted at S-B-A until the sports vacations.
