Our projects inspire Zug!
In line with the mission of the Office for Information Technology and Organization of the Canton of Zug, our daily focus is on advancing good digitalization and IT projects in the canton. We support our customers from the initial stages of their projects to their completion, offering modern solutions that they will enjoy using. We are a bunch of cool project managers and business analysts focused on delivering successful projects. Our focus is on having variety, responsibility, independence, involvement and creative freedom in a flexible work environment. We work every day to debunk prejudices surrounding 'difficult IT projects'.

The tasks of the Project Management Team include:
- Leading transformative (organizational) projects and IT projects.
- Acting as the go-to-point and information center for all questions about digitalization and IT projects.
- Budgeting and initialization of projects.
- Conceptualizing and evaluating ideas and preparing studies during the project initiation phase.
- Ensuring compliance with the agreed services for quality, content, deadlines and work.
- Achieving goals in line with the project objectives and making necessary adjustments (change management) to reflect project progress and requirements.
- Regular project reporting to all stakeholders.
- Developing concepts, system specifications, functional specifications, system documentation and reports.
- Business analysis of technical tasks and converting it into requirements.
- Creating test cases, assessing and monitoring user tests.
- Applying and developing the Hermes project management methodology.
In the context of project portfolio management and controlling:
- Managing the project portfolio and project control.
- Supervising all digitization and IT projects in the canton. This includes all activities that are necessary for prioritizing, coordinating, controlling and supporting current and future projects, and the required resources.
- Comprehensive and ongoing planning, prioritization, oversight and monitoring of all digitization and IT projects in the canton.
- Jointly defining programs to implement overarching organizational goals.
- Approving, deferring and rejecting project applications within the scope of budgeting.
- Continuous project monitoring and ensuring communication with clients and managers.
- Handling comprehensive project and quality management, while sharing information and knowledge across projects.
