About Heinz Tännler

Heinz Tännler, who was born in 1960, was elected to the Government Council in 2007. For nine years, he headed the Building Control Office and represented the canton of Zug as Chair of the Government Council in 2015-2016. He has been Director of the Finance Department since April 2016. In his previous roles, he served on the Cantonal Council, led the Hospital Commission, and was a member of the select State Economic Commission. Heinz Tännler is married and has three grown-up children. In his free time, he enjoys cycling and playing tennis.
